Another Reason to Hate Home Depot

20 Jun

I hate Home Depot, and every other hardware store for that matter. It just symbolizes ‘work’ to me. Every time I go in there it’s because something is broken, or because my night is going to be shot painting a room. But today I found another reason to dislike Home Depot.

We were standing in line paying for boxes. Rachelle was following Layla around the checkout aisles when Layla started crying and reached down at her leg. Rachelle picked her her up to figure out what happened.

When Rachelle lifted the baby’s foot, she saw that one of those theft-proof sensors (the sharp, tack piece) went through Layla’s shoe. It must have been laying on the floor and Layla stepped on it. It went through her shoe and into part of her foot. Luckily there was no blood, and Layla didn’t cry much aside from the initial whining.
