DYFS Should Be Here Any Minute

Layla slept at my mom’s house last night, and mom returned her today, damaged. Her cheek is bruised because apparently she fell face-first into the corner of an end-table.
Since parents are supposed to teach children the err of their ways, I explained to Layla that it’s not a good idea to fall face-first into the corner of an end-table, or any kind of table, for that matter.I think I really got through to her.
Oh and against all odds, she made it through an entire shopping trip without leaving the cart and making a scene; although we did have to open the sour creme and onion Pringles to pacify her.

Yay for a successful grocery trip! Pacifying with food really is the way to go sometimes.
I’m surprised Children’s Services hasn’t come to take Jay away yet. He had a goose egg on his forehead and a band of bruises for like a month. I kept getting told “no big deal–all kids fall”.
Hope you guys are all doing well! Best of luck with the house-hunting!
Thanks very much! Oh and I saw your advice earlier, about only one of us going food shopping and the other staying home with the baby but Rachelle doesn’t like that for some reason. I think she gets lonely or something, I don’t know. And I am completely incapable of food shopping alone…I always mess something up, or forget essential items.
