Only 14 months and already has her first tooth

IMG_2468It is confirmed that Layla finally has her first tooth.  It took fourteen months, and one week, but a fang has definitely popped through her bottom gums.  Well, it’s either a tooth or a small ceramic shard, but most likely it’s the former.  It’s also worth mentioning that it’s crooked and in a weird spot but we really couldn’t expect anything common from this walking abnormality.

On Christmas night Layla’s temperature skyrocketed and we clocked her fevor at 102 degrees, give or take.  The next few days were an absolute nightmare, between a tooth trying to pierce her gums, and the fevor/cough combination.

We took her to the doctor’s last Monday and learned that she was parading around with, not one, but two ear infections.  I would have cried for a week too.

That night we juiced her up with bubble gum antibiotics and put her to sleep.  The following day she woke up, pranced down the hallway into the kitchen with the grace of a figure skater, lifted the dogs’ water bowl dumping it all over the kitchen, threw the remote control at me, and raided the snack drawer.  “She’s back…” I said to myself.

The funniest part of this, is that it hasn’t gotten any bigger. It’s the same size as when we first seen it. It’s taking a long time to come through.
Now she has a snaggle tooth like her daddy. Of course, still nothing like her mommy.
