On Sunday I celebrated my first Father’s Day and it was lovely. My mom volunteered to take Layla overnight on Saturday night, and Rachelle made a hair appointment for early on Sunday morning, which means that I got to sleep in until 11 o’clock…for the first time in about a year.
Rachelle asked what I wanted to do for Father’s Day, and offered to make an extra special meal, but I really prefer to keep it simple and easy. I’m a lazy man at the core, so laying around, watching baseball, and eating cheeseburgers is an ideal day to me. But she met me halfway and went out of her way to make outstanding home-made macaroni-and-cheese. You can’t keep an Eye-talian out of the kitchen.
People have been asking why I haven’t been writing to this site lately (and by “people”, I mean my wife), and honestly there just hasn’t been that much to write about. Layla has been doing the same tricks for the past few months. I told her she needs to get a new act but she gave me a disgusted look like usual. We took plenty of new pictures which I’ll post early next week.

I’m glad you had a good Father’s Day-homemade mac n cheese sounds fantastical…
You need to keep this site updated so that your friend in Texas doesn’t think horrible things have happened to you guys when I click the site on a daily basis and see no updates. Or maybe I could have just called…whateva.
Love and miss you guys terribly!

Yeah I don’t understand it. You’re the only person that I’ve ever met who refuses to call people even more than I do. At least now I have something to work towards.
